These sentiments were getting all too familiar, so we are delighted to offer on-site accommodation in the form of Oak Cottage, perfect for:

  • An overnight stay after dropping your horse off for his training
  • Particpating in one of our 2 day courses and staying overnight in style!
  • Participating in a 5 day Starting the Young Horse Course
  • Having a bespoke training package for you and your horse (or just you!)
  • Using Risebridge Farm as a base for a wonderful holiday or short break (horsey or non-horsey!)

Oak Cottage

Forming part of the stunning Grade II Listed 16th Century Risebridge Farmhouse, this one bedroom, two story self-catering apartment is complete with original period features and is 200 metres from the stable complex. It sleeps 2/3 people, and boasts a fully equipped living room, kitchen, cloakroom and bathroom as well as parking and beautiful garden area. It is the perfect ‘home from home’ for a short break to ‘get away from it all’ or for a horsey holiday at Australian Horsemanship!

Horse Accommodation:

You can choose your accommodation for your horse too! We can offer individual turnout, and/or stabling in our new brick built stables. You can even totally relax and have our highly experienced and caring staff look after you horse whilst you have a well deserved lie-in!

Risebridge Health & Sports Club & The Beauty Spot

Not only is Risebridge Farm home to Australian Horsemanship, it also houses a wonderful Health & Sports Club with a wide range of exercise classes, tennis court and fully equipped guym should you be feel a fitness drive coming on! The Beauty Spot can then offer a relaxing facial or massage to take away the pain, whilst sports massage, physiotherapy and Osteopathy is also on the menu should you overdo it in the gym…!

Local Equestrian Attractions:

  • Australian Horsemanship of course! (including 100 acres of hacking!)
  • Bedgebury Park Equestrian Centre (2 miles)
  • Bedgebury Forest featuring miles of off-road bridleways
  • Bewl Water Reservoir with a 15 mile off-road bridleway circuiting the Reservoir
  • A number of excellent training/ competition centres within 1 hour travel

Summary of Local Attractions:

Castles & Historic Houses; Bodiam Castle, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Penshurt Place, Battle Abbey, Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Rochester Castle (and home of Dicken’s World!) and Finchcocks Museum are all within an hour’s drive
Famous Gardens: Sissinghurst Garden and Scotney Castle Garden are both within a ten minute drive
For Children: The Hop Farm, The Rare Breeds Centre, Howletts Wild Animal Park, Port Lympne Animal Park and Drusillas Zoo for outdoors entertainment
Sports/ The Great Outdoors: Bewl water, Bedgebury Pinetum, Golf Courses Galore, abundance of local fisheries.
Eating Out: Goudhurst alone boasts 5 pubs within three miles of each other, all with excellent eating options!
