POLO AND POLOCROSSEWe offer the following services in Polocrosse & Polo; Private and Group Polocrosse Lessons and Corporate Days at Risebridge Farm, home of Kent Target Polocrosse Club (2 pitches and yard facilities) "At first I was apprehensive about returning to riding after 30 years. I found the polocrosse group friendly and informal and this, combined with the encouraging and expert tuition given by Jason, is a recipe for a fun experience... I even get assistance to help me back my box!" Louise Jarvis Riding for Polocrosse and Polo “A Londoner who has never ridden before taking up polocrosse should have been a recipe for disaster but Jason transformed me into a decent polocrosse rider in a matter of a few months, and three years on I even won Best No2 at the 2009 UKPA National Championships!” Tom Beney Horse Training for Polocrosse and Polo “You can tell this horse (Tangles) has been trained by someone s**t hot!” Kerry Bean, UK Ladies Team member “Jason produces young horses that are great to work with” Matt Lodder, professional polo player "I have worked with horses all my life but never enjoyed it as much as I did working with Jason. My stay was a real learning curve and has changed the way I work with certain horses!" Alex Richardson, recipient UKPA U21 Horsemanship Prize, sponsored by Australian Horse Training Polocrosse and Polo Ponies for Sale “I bought one of Jason's homebred youngsters, Risebridge Alpha, as a five year old and liked him so much bought Risebridge Missile two years later!” Sharon Kennedy, UK and Irish International Polocrosse Player Polocrosse Horses for Hire “I can't believe how much fun I had on Rocca at the National Championships – she was a legend!” Oz Wedmore Polocrosse Stallion, Risebridge Diesel at stud (see Stud & Sales section) POLOJason plays polo on a purely social level off a 0 goal handicap, but has been involved with starting and training polo ponies in Australia and the UK over the last fifteen years. With the recent growth and development in polo pony breeding in the UK , we are in an excellent position to start and produce polo ponies in a relaxed and stress free environment for the professional and amateur player alike. As with all the horses Jason starts, their basic education and handling is the same for whatever discipline they are marked for, but within three weeks, they will be happily stick and balling and developing specialist skills such as changes, stops, neckreining, haunch turns, roll backs and lateral movement. Our facilities are excellent and local professional polo players are able to come and stick and ball at Risebridge Farm. The local Brightling Polo Club is proving the perfect place to take young horses and introduce them to the game. Only 1 ¼ hours drive to Windsor and 1 ¾ hours to Cowdray, we can arrange transport if required. We also operate discounts for group bookings and reduced training rates for young polo ponies that are already started, so not only do we guarantee and great service, we also offer great value for money! We also have our own small breeding operation for polo and polocrosse, using well performed mares and our own Australian Stock Horse stallion, Risebridge Diesel, who has been playing in practice chukkas and showing great potential. Diesel is available for outside mares at a fee of £300+VAT. POLOCROSSEJason has a long list of achievements in polocrosse: Highest rated UK player on a handicap of 17 (out of 20).
