Description: |
Tim is owned and competed by renowned Australian horseman, Gerald O'Brien. He has won numerous awards in a variety of disciplines, including Working Horse, cutting and camp drafting. His exceptional ability and athleticism is complemented by a faultless temperament, which persuaded Gerald to use Tim as his 'demonstration' horse. He has travelled round Australia with Tim, culminating in performing at the Sydney Olympics, where his tricks included holding a firestick in his mouth! Today, he is still performing but is also used as a 'lead pony' for breaking-in and as a private stallion for Gerald's stud.
Tim's sire line is a dual-registered Thoroughbred / ASH family well-known for it's exceptional conformation and presence in the showring. His great grandsire, Bushfire is an ASH Foundation Sire who has had a great influence over the modern-day Stock Horse. Tim's dam, Amber Princess, was a station pony who proved an exceptional broodmare. Of her eleven progeny, all of her colts were left entire, including Realm of Fire, who has sired many top class polocrosse horses such as Bernie Smith's Bettarealm.
Progeny
Tim has never been used as a commercial stallion although his progeny to date are just starting to make their mark in the showring and camp draft arena. We are very excited about the prospect of Tim as a sire for polo and polocrosse horses as he carries strong TB bloodlines coupled with outstanding agility, intelligence and temperament.
