From your first enquiry to when you take your horse home, we will do our utmost to put you at ease and provide a top class, personalised service. Not all horses and owners are the same and we treat every client as individuals in terms of their training programme and their care.
After your initial enquiry, you will be sent an Information Pack, detailing prices and the training package that we offer. It also gives you the chance to provide us with all the information that we need to make your horse’s training a success. It is at this point that we ask for a deposit to secure your horse’s place in the training yard.
We are able to keep your horse how you would like – turned out, stabled or in one of our ‘Australian’ stables. We can cater to all requirements from type of bedding, to soaked hay, to chopped apples and we can provide our own hard feed or accommodate as many bags of your own feed (along with supplements!) that you want to bring! Once your horse arrives, your belongings will be itemised and your horse’s requirements put on his stable door and in the feed room. You will be allocated your own section in the tack room and your own bag for your horse’s bits and bobs.
We work closely with the owners and riders and encourage you to come and view your horse’s progress weekly with a pre-booked private session with your trainer. However, we realise that some owners are unable to be so involved and we will endeavour to keep you updated with your horse’s progress, via emails and phone calls. Our Facebook page is regularly updated with photos of the yard, so keep an eye out for your horse! Please note that we cannot always pick up the phone or respond immediately to emails, but we will do our best!
We always insist on at least one viewing before you take your horse home, although a few rides would be better! A key part of your training is the hand-over, when you will be given the training tools to continue with your horse’s progress at home.
You will receive a Training Report from Jason, detailing how your horse has progressed and the best course of action going forward. We want you to keep in touch and love hearing about your successes and many owners return for further training, courses and clinics to continue their progress. If you do find that you need extra help and further support once your horse is at home, please call us and we will assist you as best we can!
