Clinics and Demos

Teaching

Jason is a natural teacher and enjoys giving riding lessons, horse clinics and horse demonstrations. Although teaching the owners and riders of horses he has in for training comes as part of the package, he is also available for private or group lessons in horsemanship (ridden or groundwork) and polocrosse at Risebridge Farm (he is one of only three Level 3 UKCC accredited polocrosse coaches in the country).

Sam Paxton , BHSAI, is also available for lessons in dressage and jumping and has a great rapport with the riders she currently works with as part of the Goudhurst Livery and Riding Centre , which also operates at Risebridge Farm.

Demonstrations

Jason firmly believes that if he is going to demonstrate his methods, you might as well get to see the real thing, warts and all, and not a staged, well rehearsed show! This attitude certainly provides a lot more insight to his training and is proving very entertaining!

Our annual Open Day has become increasingly popular, with over 200 people attending in August 2009.

Jason has also performed at many events, colleges, yards and clubs and is hoping to put together a tour of south east venues for 2010.

“***WOW*** What a fantastic Open Day, I had a wonderful afternoon!”
Bryony Dickens.

“What a brilliant time we had, we didn't want it to end. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I along with everyone else was fascinated by your ability to achieve such amazing results in such a short time. Your calmness, understanding, knowledge and endless patience was just wonderful to watch.”
Dianne Crickmore

“What a wonderful show and equestrian centre!  We had a great day - thank you so much.  Jill says "it was excellent". I doubt anyone would consider anywhere else once they had seen how amazing Jason is with horses.” Alison Clark

“Just to thank you for such an excellent day today.  You have for sure inspired us, with our two youngsters.”
Clive Tilley

“I thought I would drop you a line and thank you on behalf of the Riding Club and Centre for your demonstration of natural horsemanship at Bedgebury.

You certainly gave much food for thought. Two words were mentioned as being necessary for good training of horses, patience and persistence… Your method of suggesting to the horse that doing what you want is the easiest option for it to follow is very logical when it's explained to one, however I am pretty certain most horse owners would need your guidance to actually achieve that!
Ian Hanlon, Bedgebury Park Riding Club Chairman

Coffee Mornings

We hold a free coffee morning every 1st Tuesday of the month from 11am-12.30pm. It gives people a chance to watch Jason working on horses that are in for training whilst enjoying a drink and a look round the facilities in the course of a normal day on the yard. All we ask is a donation to the collection for the Ebony Horse Club ( www.ebontyhorseclub.org.uk ) in return!

Clinics

Jason now runs regular clinic afternoons at Risebridge Farm on every 3 rd Tuesday afternoon of the month. Attendees are invited to bring their own horse (or use one of ours) to work for an hour in a small group before watching how other riders and horses with different experiences and problems are taught by Jason.

“We are both doing absolutely brill, I am so happy and pleased with the outcome of his and mine training clinics with Jason. I feel so confident and it shows because Danny is doing amazingly well. I have been highly recommending you to everyone I know and meet”
Fiona

We are currently looking to put a clinic programme together for 2010 including residential courses for those further afield and clinics with highly recommended overseas trainers. Jason is also available for clinics at other yards, colleges and clubs.

Work Experience

We have good links with local colleges and schools and have provided work placements for a number of students, particularly from Hadlow College , where we have also taken part in their Careers Day.

We are always willing to look at applications for work experience, so please send us your CV if you are interested.
